The suit alleges that Damon threatened both of them, mostly saying they should watch out, because she was a “major reporter for CNN.”
Just to be fair, CNN is also named in the suit, which suggests the network hired Arwa even though she “has a history of becoming intoxicated and then abusive, ” and a “penchant for violence even when sober.”
Arwa Damon is the granddaughter of Muhsin al-Barazi, the former prime minister of Syria, who was executed in a 1949 military coup.
That’s probably where she got her temper.
The EMTs are suing CNN for $1 million for pain and suffering.
For her part, Damon emailed the NY Post: “It’s been an extremely stressful time, I was exhausted, I had not had proper food all day…”
OK, that at least makes sense. When hungry, eat the help.
Arwa added that she “clearly miscalculated how my body would handle the alcohol consumed. Needless to say, I am utterly mortified and take full responsibility for my actions, which are inexcusable.”
That’s what she said.
