Two Swiss Air Force jets were scrambled to establish visual contact with the pilot, and escort El Al Boeing 747 airline flight from New York to Tel Aviv, due to a bomb alert.
Skyguide spokesman told dpa on Tuesday, that El Al said it had received an anonymous tip about a bomb on board the flight. The company added though that the plane was continuing on its way to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport. The company gave no further details.
