Air Canada has extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv, pushing back the planned resumption by another month to August 5th. This comes after Iran’s missile attack on Israel last month.
The Canadian carrier had initially suspended flights until July, but the security situation has prompted a further delay.
This news follows a similar announcement by United Airlines last week, which postponed the restart of its Israel service until June. As a result, travelers seeking direct flights between Israel and North America this month have limited options, with El Al Israel Airlines currently the only carrier offering this route.

In addition to Air Canada’s delay, other airlines have adjusted their Israel operations. United Airlines has postponed its resumption, and budget carrier easyJet canceled all flights to Israel until the end of October. While Wizz Air continues to operate flights, their schedule is significantly reduced.
Air India is expected to resume service to Israel next week, although no flights are currently listed on their website.
