According to the sources, Trump decided to step away from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after his failure in the first round of the April election and not assist him in the second round, as he helped him in the first round. In April’s elections, Netanyahu was invited to the White House, and Trump declared recognition of the Golan Heights as well as declared Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.

In the second round, Trump behaved differently: he no longer embraced Netanyahu and gave him no gifts, except for a tweet in which he wrote that he had spoken to Netanyahu about the possibility of a defensive alliance. A source close to Trump explained he decided to stay away from Netanyahu after his first failure to form a government “because the president doesn’t like losers.”
Former U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who was fired by Trump after a year said two months ago at a Harvard University event: “Netanyahu tried to deceive Trump several times, giving him incorrect information. Despite the close ties between Israel and the United States, it’s always good to have a degree of skepticism in conversations with Netanyahu.”
Tillerson also blamed: “Israel has shared incorrect information to pressure the United States in an attempt to convince us that Israelis are the good ones. Then we presented things differently to the president, explaining to him that they were working on him. It bothered me that allies that were so close and important did it to us. ”
