Adam Lambert is probably best known as a former American Idol contestant, but he’s also the latest guest vocalist for British rock legends Queen. The latest news says Lambert has been roped into co-star in Fox Studios’ version of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

The 33-year-old singer already has a background in musical theatre. Before he hit the big time on American Idol, in 2009, Lambert starred as Joshua in The Ten Commandments: The Musical opposite Val Kilmer. He also toured the US with the show Wicked.

So who could “Glee” alum,  possibly playing from the crazy cast of extraordinary characters?

Lambert will play the role of Eddie originally portrayed by Meat Loaf in the cult 1975 film. Tim Curry, who of course played Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the film, has also been announced as the narrator for the Fox version.

Lambert’s third studio album hit No.3 on the US Billboard album charts and received critical praise.
