Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack, the New York City-originated burger chain plans to open a third location in Los Angeles, downtown L.A, DTLA Rising reported.
The downtown location will replace the 801 Hill nightclub at the corner of Hill Street and 8th Street. Shake Shack is expected to open next year.
Shake Shack started as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park as part of an effort to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. In 2004, Shake Shack opened its first restaurant and has since grown to Chicago, Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida and even Dubai.
