Billy Eichner Hosts Big Bird, First Lady, Elana, and Fresh Produce

Funny Or Die Becomes the vehicle for First Lady’s “Eat Brighter” campaign

Billy Eichner hosted Big Bird, the First Lady and Elena! for a special Billy on the Street episode designed to instill in young people a healthy love of produce. The Emmy Award winning Jewish, “out” and Outstanding Game Show Host placed the focus on Michelle Obama’s “Eat Brighter” campaign to encourage kids to eat nature’s best, brightest and healthiest foods–fruits and vegetables.

The game featured choices like Ariana Grande or eating a carrot, questions such as “Who’s more deserving of a Kennedy Center Honor: Martin Short or a frozen box of corn?” and other corny questions, according to E online. Eichner was honest about the whole aim of the show which was to “bribe kids to eat fruit, ” but after all, it was for a good cause. Elena, who was excited about meeting both Big Bird and the First Lady, exclaimed that it was the best day of her life.

Billy Eichner was in fantastic comic form, nearly up to the standard of his hilarious Superbowl halftime show tweets commenting on Kate Perry’s dress which looked oddly like it contained two child-sized colorful yarmulkes posing as bra cups. His comments included: “At the end of the game, they will announce who gets Israel.” and “What if the whole game is just someone’s bar mitzvah party?”
