It’s a hard life on Les Wexner’s and Roman Abramovich’s super yachts. The sleepless nights amid all the partying, the long days fulfilling the request of high maintenance celebrities and having to be witty and attractive at all times, does take its toll. However, Savannah Sharpe told the Irish Independent that it was one of the most rewarding jobs ever. The design graduate from Ireland was on a beach in Nice and someone proposed a one-week course to train as a hostess on a yacht. After just three days, she landed her first job on a 22 meter luxury yacht at the Monaco Grand Prix. Sharpe said, “For the next few days we worked hard, with very little sleep, but it was the most fun one could possibly imagine.”
Whether it was due to her fluent French, classic Irish charm, her good looks or all three, she was then invited by the yacht’s guests to party at the Cannes Film Festival, where she rubbed elbows with Adrien Brody and Paris Hilton who was constantly touching up her makeup. Attending four VIP clubs in one night was “surreal” for Sharpe.

Sharpe has also worked on Les Wexner’s yacht, the Limitless, which is one of the largest and most top secret in the world. The man behind Victoria’s Secret and Abercrombie & Fitch does not allow any pictures taken of its exterior without his expressed permission, and no interior photographs of it have been seen (does he confiscate the guests’ iPhones?).
Chelsea football club owner, Roman Abramovich’s much-storied yacht Eclipse is so mysterious that even when it moves a bit, there is a news story about it, as we reported on JBN not too long ago. It is filled with so much stuff that one wonders why it doesn’t tip over. However, it is well protected from pirates, paparazzi and so it must have some rescue rafts.
