The comic series’ makers say that it is not only entertaining, but also educational and appropriate for children ages 7 and up.

In Israeli Defense Comics #2, Magen encounters the re-emergence of the Golem while pursuing Hamas terrorists in Gaza for launching mortars into the Israeli town of Sderot. “Can Magen stop the mystical clay monster before it’s too late?”

All of the work for the issue has already been completed, including the writing and the art. The makers are looking to raise $3, 500 to print the issue with a new Kickstarter campaign. As of this publishing, they have raised $886 from 17 backers.

Backers can receive autographed print editions and even original artwork.
