A spokesman for Labor in Derby told the Jewish News: “With antisemitism on the rise across Europe it is abhorrent and terrifying that a prospective Conservative politician would say something like this.”

Jay Stoll of the Jewish LEadership Council called the comments “unacceptable” and urged authorities to “investigate this matter swiftly.”

According to a recent poll, the Jewish voters in Britain intend to cast their ballots overwhelmingly for the Conservative Party in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

poll released earlier and conducted by The Jewish Chronicle  found that Jewish voters intend to support the party of incumbent Prime Minister David Cameron by a margin of 56% to 18% for Labor, with 12.5% undecided and roughly 2% each going to the Liberal Democrats and the UK Independence Party. The margin climbed to 69% Conservative to 23% Labor when those who refused to respond or were undecided were eliminated from the results.
