Ian Schrager’s New York Edition Hotel, located at 5 Madison Ave, is set to open on May 11th. Also coming soon is the architect’s new book, “Ian Schrager: Works.”
The New York EDITION will feature 273 guest rooms and suites with spectacular views of the city as well as a 2, 900 square foot restaurant, located on the landmarked second floor and outfitted with mahogany wood paneled walls and specially curated art. The hotel will offer approximately 2, 100 square feet of versatile meeting and event space, an intimate lobby bar; and a 1, 650 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center and spa located on the 39th floor.

Centrally located on 24th street and Madison Avenue, The New York EDITION sits directly across from New York’s iconic Madison Square Park. Originally built in 1909 as the headquarters for The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, the historic 41-story clock tower is an iconic New York landmark.
The hotel will also offer about 2, 100 square feet of versatile meeting and event space that ranges from an executive boardroom to studio space.
Three 1, 350 square foot penthouses have sweeping views of the city and are suitable tor private events and gatherings.

Meanwhile, the new book “Ian Schrager: Works” is set to be released on May 5th. At 408 pages, thevolume spans almost forty years of contemporary high design as masterminded by Ian Schrager.
