Racana, developer of a cloud-based solution for personalized mobile content recommendation and monetization, announced today that the Global Innovation Award at Nokia Siemens Networks’ Israel Innovation Competition was bestowed on it, for its ability to create new revenue streams for mobile operators.
In an effort to complement its Liquid Applications solution, Nokia Siemens Networks launched its Israel Innovation Competition, seeking to identify relevant technological innovations. Liquid Applications have redefined the mobile broadband usage, where content services and applications are located at a base station near the subscriber who is then exposed to real-time network data that provides a local, relevant and personal materials.
Racana developed a cloud-based application for the personalization of content recommendations by mobile users. It allows mobile operators to personalize content, services and products relevant to the user at a specific time and location. By monetizing mobile content, the application enhances mobile operators’ relevancy in the value chain of mobile content and applications. It is also able to leverage any network assets’ component, capable of accumulating and harvesting user data in Liquid Applications.
Amit Sternberg, CEO and Founder of Racana, said: “With our personalized solution for mobile content monetization, mobile operators can now offer the right content to the right user at the right time and directly generate new revenues streams from the growing demand for mobile content and applications.
“Needless to say, ” he added, “we are very proud to receive this award and we intend to leverage this important recognition to bring our value proposition to mobile operators around the world.”
Hossein Moiin, Executive Vice President for Technology and Innovation at Nokia Siemens Networks, said: “We are delighted with the quality of solutions we received through the Israel Innovation Competition…. Racana’s innovative solution … ties in very well with our technology vision of enabling networks to profitably deliver 1GB of personalized data per user per day by 2020.”
