Shelly Sterling, who can’t seem to lose for winning lately, has another court victory; her husband Donald‘s ex-girlfriend, V. Stiviano has to return $2.6 million in gifts Donald bought her.
Shelly won the right to sell the L.A. Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a record amount, above her disgraced husband’s objections and now she will be compensated for all of the goodies the former LA Clippers coach bought Stiviano without her permission. Shelly initially sued for $3 million, but the court is rewarding her close to that amount.

Shelly Sterling said her husband used their joint money to buy the woman who leaked Donald’s racist rantings several cars and luxury properties. Stiviano’s attorneys claimed that the gifts were legitimate, since the couple were separated, but one of the things Stiviano recorded was Donald fussing over how he was going to conceal the expensive gifts from his wife. She said on the recording, according to the NYPost, “The truth is that everything I have, you have given from your heart without me begging or asking or throwing myself all over you.” Wow, said as if she expected that recording would be used someday, but the truth is, the court didn’t care. It wasn’t that Stiviano’s methods of receiving gifts were coercive; they weren’t his to give away to begin with. Sterling plied Stiviano with a Range Rover, a Ferrari and a $1.8 million duplex. Now she has to give it all back.
