TV Producer Byron Allen Sues Al Sharpton, Comcast for Discriminating against African American Media

Byron Allen says media companies give Al Sharpton money so he doesn’t call them racist.

Byron Allen

Television producer Byron Allen, along with the National Association of African American Owned Media, is suing Rev. Al Sharpton, Comcast and Time Warner Cable for $20 billion, as reported by politics365.com. At issue is Allen’s claim that Al Sharpton was awarded plentiful airtime and MSNBC by Comcast, while the Comcast has declined to work with Byron Allen’s own company out of conscious discrimination. Allen says he has received the same treatment at the hands of AT&T and DirecTv.

Allen alleges that Comcast paid Sharpton and his National Action Network $3.8 billion in donations, and Allen told the Daily Caller, “It’s cheaper to give Al Sharpton money so he doesn’t call them racist. That is the issue here. He is nothing more than a black pawn in a very sophisticated white economic chess game. He’s not even bright enough to know he is on a chess board, and he’s being used by his white masters at Comcast specifically David Cohen and (CEO) Brian Roberts.”

He added that he thinks it is “outstanding” that AT&T was the biggest sponsor of Al Sharpton’s 60th birthday party. “AT&T spent more money on Al Sharpton’s birthday party than they have on 100% African American owned media combined.”
