Ellie Goulding’s 50 Shades Theme Beats Streaming Records

Ellie Goulding has hit on the back of a kinky cinematic trend. Better luck next time.

Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do, ” the theme song from the skanky cinematic sensation “Fifty Shades of Grey, ” beat Mark Ronson’s previous record, which of course asked to be beaten and is begging to be beaten again.

“Love Me Like You Do” was streamed 2.6 million times in the last 7 days, more times than its listeners actually received lashes in a creepy billionaire’s personal dungeon. The previous record held by Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” featuring Bruno Mars. Apparently, Ronson just couldn’t take the pain.
