The New England Patriots star wide receiver Julian Edelman mocked Seattle Seahawks player Richard Sherman during the team’s Super Bowl victory parade yesterday. This was said to be payback for how Sherman mocked the Patriots players after the Seahawks had taken a 24-14 lead late in the big game.
A video of it was released on Instagram by a fan who goes by gabe_ara. Edelman was handed a sign by a fan during the parade which had a picture of Sherman taken from a video of the game. In it Sherman can be seen making a “two-four” with his fingers after his team scored for the last time, which was either a reference to their 24 points or to Patriots defensive player Darrelle Revis whose jersey number is 24.

Either way it was certainly poor sportsmanship on Sherman’s part. Edelman punched the picture and threw it to the ground.
The actions by the man, who was raised Christian but whose father has Jewish grandparents, might be considered an example of a sore winner by some. Especially Seahawks fans.
After the parade Edelman praised Patriots fans saying, “These people came out and supported us. You play the game for your friends and family, and for your region that you play in. We have some of the best fans in the world. It really is. If you think about it, Boston, New England, it’s crazy to think that you can experience this. It’s just been an unbelievable experience.”
Meanwhile TMZ has reported that a woman who snuck into a room and took a picture of a sleeping Edelman has apologized for it. Only known as Sabrina, she posted the picture on Tinder.
Sabrina told TMZ, “I made a mistake. I feel really bad about it. He passed out and I was bored I guess. I was drunk … and I made a mistake and I feel terrible about it.”
