Dankner travelled to Italy after asking the Tel Aviv District Court to temporarily lift the order banning him from leaving the country due to a securities fraud investigation.

As the IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) saga continues and the race against time to complete a debt settlement and sell Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Ltd. (TASE: CLIS) gathers pace, controlling shareholder Nochi Dankner has taken a vacation. He flew to Italy for a couple of days with his wife Orly, “Yediot Ahronot” reports.
According to the report, Dankner travelled to Rome after asking the Tel Aviv District Court for special approval to temporarily lift the order banning him from leaving the country. The order was imposed because Dankner is being investigated by the Israel Securities Authority for suspected securities fraud. The investigation was first disclosed last November.
“Yediot Ahronot” said that Dankner was required to deposit NIS 3 million in guarantees in order to leave the country from June 14 to 18.
