“You’re fired!” Two of Donald Trump’s favorite words on his hit show “The Apprentice.” However, he has to actually have Chuck Todd in his employ to fire him. That hasn’t stopped Trump’s adviser, Sam Nunberg, who works with the real estate mogul on his political projects, from predicting than Todd will be fired from “Meet the Press” within the year.
It all started when Chuck Todd, host of “Meet the Press” who took over for David Gregory after poor ratings, was criticizing Donald Trump’s tendency to make White House bids. Trump spoke at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday along with other GOP presidential hopefuls.

“Nobody is going to mistake Donald Trump for a presidential candidate, I don’t think, other than Donald Trump, ” said Todd. Trump, who had considered running in 2000 and 2012, fired off on Twitter, according to Business Insider.
Trump said “word is that NBC News is firing sleepy eyes Chuck Todd in that his ratings on Meet the Press are setting record lows. He’s a real loser!” Then he said, “Can’t wait to see Sleepyeyes on the next Celebrity Apprentice. Oh, wait, he would have to be a celebrity.”
Actually Chuck Todd is seeing the highest ratings for the show since Gregory left, but that didn’t stop Nunberg and Trump from ganging up on him and predicting his demise as a host. Nunberg tweeted that he missed David Gregory, who he said had better ratings. When Business Insider tried to reach Trump for further comment on his twitter feud with Todd, Nunberg said Trump was busy hosting the Miss Universe pageant and couldn’t be reached.
Nunberg said since Todd predicted Trump’s presidential bid would not pan out, then Nunberg said his prediction was that Todd would be fired within a year be replaced by Luke Russert, the son of Tim Russert, who hosted the show from 1991 to 2008. In fact, Nunberg implied that Todd was merely a bench warmer. “Everyone knows Chuck is supposed to keep the seat warm for Luke. I just hope Chuck doesn’t destroy ‘Meet the Press’ so Luke has nothing to work with.”
