British pop musician Robbie Williams will perform in Israel in May. He just released a short video to promote his concert.
In spite of calls for a boycott of the country by famed musicians such as Roger Waters and Elvis Costello, many musicians – some much more famous than those who are boycotting – have still performed in Israel over the past few years.

Just last summer Neil Young spurned a direct plea from Waters not to perform in Israel and refused to cancel his appearance there. But missiles began to fall on the Tel Aviv area because of the conflict in Gaza and so Young was forced to postpone his concert. But he promised to reschedule.
“Tel Aviv, Israel! Me! Robbie Williams! Coming to see you, it’s like a first date, ” says Williams in the 30 second video’s opening. “I’ve got butterflies in my stomach. I can’t wait. I hope you feel the same way too.”
“Tel Aviv, are you ready? Please come to see the show. There’ll be singing, there’ll be dancing. There will be love, mainly me beaming it to you from my heart into your heads and minds, ” he concluded.
Williams will perform May 2nd at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park.
