“Picking the right location in this city could be very impactful, not just in terms of having a new home for the Bills, but in terms of driving economic development in the city itself.”
After former Bills owner Ralph Wilson passed away, the Jacobs family considered joining in the bidding contest for the Bills, but ultimate Terry Pegula, with the backing of Jon Bon Jovi and Donald Trump, became the owner. Not long after buying the team, Pegula expressed the need for a new stadium.
