Mike Bloomberg honored Teddy Schwarzman, co-producer of the “Imitation Game” at a party for the producer at his parents’ home. Teddy is the son of Christine and Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of the Blackstone group. Their home is a Park Avenue triplex once owned by John D. Rockefeller. The two other producers of the biopic of Alan Turing are Nora Grossman and Ido Ostrowsky, according to Deadline.com, and it was directed by Morten Tyldum.

The film cost $14 million to produce, and it has been nominated for 5 Golden Globes including Best Dramatic Film. It deals with the life of Alan Turing, who found a way to break the Nazis’ Enigma code. As a result, WWII ended faster and Turing discovered the basis for the modern computer. However, after the war, Turing was arrested for indecency because he was gay and he eventually claimed his own life.

Bloomberg toasted the producer, “Teddy, I’ve known your father longer than you have, ” and said Stephen was known for “overworking and underpaying.”

The director, Morten Tyldum said, “This man was one of the most important men in the last century, one of the big thinkers, and has sort of been erased from history and pushed to the shadows because he was a gay man … Alan Turing’s spirit has been looming over this project from its beginning. You better get this right. He deserves it. We’re very proud of this movie.”
