Judd Apatow’s Twitter war against Bill Cosby is heating up as former Cosby Show co-star Phylicia Rashad came to Cosby’s defense in an interview with Showbiz 411. This led to an escalation on Twitter which included additional celebrities such as Tom Arnold and Norm MacDonald.
It all started when Rashad told Roger Friedman, “What you’re seeing is the destruction of a legacy. And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”

So Apatow tweeted, “Phylicia- how many women need to be raped before you realize he destroyed his own legacy? 40? 50?” The “Trainwreck” director followed, “For me it’s one.”
Tom Arnold then wrote, “Good for you Judd. Balls.”
In response to that Norm MacDonald tweeted, “You think that’s ballsy, Tom. For me it’s zero.”
Apatow then asked, “Norm- What is your opinion on this situation? What kind of person is Bill Cosby? Why do they defend?”
MacDonald responded, “My opinion is he is guilty. But I worry about the next guy. I believe social media could destroy an innocent.”
Apatow also tweeted, “I have only had sex with twice as many people as have accused @billcosby of rape just today.”
