Harvey Weinstein is going boldly into the celebrity gossip talk show format and is joining forces with American Media to create a show with entertainment buzz website Radar Online. The plan is to create a daily talk program with hot gossip, pop culture, lifestyle and reality entertainment as main components, according to Variety.
Weinstein commented, “Our television department has made a huge mark in the reality programming sector, and we are so happy to be taking the next step onto the talk show format.”

The show is said to be reminiscent of “Entertainment tonight” and “Inside Edition” with the personality touch of “Chelsea Lately.” No news yet whether it is going to be a network or cable program. David Peter, AMI Chairman, President and CEO said, “Partnering with the incredible team at the Weinstein Co underscores the trust and influence of Radar’s reporting and bringing it to life in an innovative, fresh new format for the newsmagazine genre.”
