Designer Zac Posen’s Sister Takes It Off to ‘Zing!’ at Wedding

Truly Zac Posen Collection

Well, first the lady was getting married in a red dress. It wasn’t just any red wedding dress, but it was the creation of her famous designer brother, Zac Posen.  He described the incident to Fredricksburg: “Her huge train came off to become a mini and she took it off to Judy Garland’s “Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart.” Far from being shocked, he said, “It covered the grandeur of the ceremony and the fun of the party.”

With older brides and second marriages, shorter dresses are becoming the new thing. Long gowns still dominate the market, but with fewer women approaching their weddings with fairy tale fantasies, they want dresses that represent the 21st century.

Zac Posen’s convertible wedding dresses combine the best of both worlds. They can be long and formal at the actual ceremony, with parts removed for dancing at the reception. Posen has luxury shorter looks as well as featuring the TrulyZac Posen collection at David’s Bridal. Some brides like the red carpet treatment and others prefer a beach or a golf course. With Posen’s convertible dresses, a bride does not have to decide.
