Zosia Mamet, actress, fashion designer and daughter of famed playwright and director David Mamet, can now add rock star to her resume. She performed with her new band Chacha at New York’s Manderley Bar at The McKittrick Hotel. The band is named for the actress’ childhood nickname.

The star of Girls who has also appeared on Mad Men plans to take her band out on its first tour early next year. The band played their new single “Too Good” which is on their debut album “Lucy.” Mamet introduced the song saying, “I have a beloved human in my life, who’s wonderful, better than I ever could have imagined. And when I found him, I wrote this song about him being perfect and me feeling like [I] wasn’t good enough for him.”

“Too Good” is no feminist ballad. According to the song’s lyrics, Mamet is not good enough for this person and is willing to do all of his chores. Her singing voice leaves a lot to be desired, but it is not fair to judge someone based on just one live performance.
