New York’s Touro College is set to take 57, 000 square feet of space at the Chetrit Group’s 500 Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, The Real Deal has reported. The Jewish school will spread the space out over two floors.
Located in the garment district, 500 Seventh has 17 stories and Joseph Moinian’s the Moinian Group owns a minority stake in it.

Touro already has a presence there and the new lease would give it a total of 287, 000 square feet in the 606, 000 square foot building. In a statement given to TRD Alan Schoor, Touro’s senior vice president said, “Negotiations are ongoing and proceeding in a positive fashion.”
