“Modern development cycles involve a lot of complicated moving parts, and making them all work in harmony is not an easy job, ” said Fred Simon, JFrog Co-founder and Chief Architect. “This makes build cycles take longer and be prone to failure with the slightest change. These build-breaking changes are difficult to track down, and are very time consuming to fix due to the manual interactions required between developers and DevOps. A software-defined data center architecture can provide a unified approach to delivering all of these complicated parts as a single package that ishyper aware of how these interactions should happen, and provides transparent reporting to the entire development team.”
“This isn’t just about adding automation, it’s about enabling everyone to deliver and use an end-to-end product release solution as a team, without the pain, ” Simon added.
Development teams will now have access to fully configured and reusable continuous-integration build environments, version control tools and deployment tools, the two companies stated. They will also have the award winning Artifactory for managing artifacts, dependencies and package repositories, and managing build releases on-demand.
This, JFrog maintains, can save Development and DevOps teams time and resources, allowing them to concentrate on the important task of delivering cutting-edge software as efficiently as possible.
