Joseph Sitt’s Thor Equities has acquired 30 Park Avenue in Manhattan’s Murray Hill section for $181 million, according to a report in The Real Deal.
A drab brown structure located between East 36th and East 37th streets and constructed in 1955 by world renowned architect Emery Roth & Son, the building has 241 rental apartments and a total of 245, 000 square feet of space. It also has 35, 000 square feet of commercial space

According to TRD, Thor has the option of converting 30 Park into condominiums. The sellers bought it for $97 million in 2005, almost doubling their money in only 9 years.
The building boasts amazing views and its amenities include covered parking, 24-hour emergency maintenance, a 24 hour door attendant and a 24-hour fitness center. It is just six blocks from Grand Central Terminal and three avenues from Penn Station.
Its apartments have been recently renovated with white or cherry wood cabinetry, frosted glass upper cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite counters.
