In the run-up to the release of their new movie “The Interview” Seth Rogen and James Franco have released a video of the duo playing a video game based on the TV show where they got their start Freaks and Geeks.
The interactive game from Fine Brothers and Doctor Octoroc can be played on YouTube. Users can choose to play either the “freaks” or the “geeks.”

Rogen and Franco sat down to play their respective characters from the show, Ken Miller and Daniel Desario, in the game.
In the video Rogen says, “It’s crazy because at the time we made it there was no infrastructure for canceled TV shows having any life beyond their cancellation. More people have seen it now for sure than when it was actually on television. Thank you for not realizing there’s lots of other better shows that have come on in the last 15 years, and focusing on ours.”
The cult classic show from creator Judd Apatow had only 18 episodes which aired from 1999-2000. In addition to Rogen and Franco it also launched the careers of successful actors like Jason Siegel, Busy Philipps and Linda Cardelini.
It was set in a 1980s high school in suburban America where the “freaks” are the outcasts in their school and the “geeks” are the nerdy smart kids.
