JPMogan CEO Jamie Dimon, who was diagnosed with curable throat cancer in July, completed his treatment in September, and at a Politico event in Washington, said the prognosis is “very good.” according to CNN.

The 58 year old, reported his strength is at around 80% and he runs 2.5 miles a day. His illness comes amid many challenges in recent years, including a government settlement over the bank’s acquisition of Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual during the financial crisis, and the infamous London Whale scandal, a major glitch that cut Dimon’s pay in half.

Jamie Dimon, who became head of JPMorgan in 2005, was among the bankers “the country hated the least” during the great recession, according to CNN. However, he was also one of the highest paid banking CEOs, at least until the London Whale scandal.

But health is more important than wealth. Refuah shleima Jamie Dimon.
