Two Kurd fighters in the Kurdish underground have doubted the multiple reports being published by jihadist websites about the capture of Gill Rosenberg, , a Candian-Israeli woman who joined the Kurdish fighters in, by ISIS forces, Israel Radio reported.

An American fighting on the Kurdish side told Israel Broadcasting Authority foreign news editor Eran Sikorel that Rosenberg hadn’t been in the part of Kubani from which she was supposedly kidnapped.

A senior member of the Kyrdish underground said he had no information regarding the kidnapping.

Israel’s Channel 2 News has reported earlier that ISIS soldiers captured Gill Rosenberg in the battle of Kubani.

The reports said that ISIS abducted Rosenberg after having carried out suicide attacks on rebel Syrian posts.

Israel Radio originally reported, in early November, that Rosenberg had joined the Kurdish underground.

Rosenberg, 31, immigrated to Israel in 2006 and served in the IDF Home Front Security regiment. She was extradited to the U.S. in 2009, for her part in an international scam to steal some $25 million from American pensioners. She was sentenced to four years in jail, but was released and expelled from the U.S.

“I have decided to contribute my share to the Kurdish national effort, ” Rosenberg told Israel Radio. “I reached the IPG, a Kurdish army in the war against ISIS.”

About the Kurds, Rosenberg said: “They are our brothers. Good people who love life just like us.”
