Scooter Braun, the owner of School Boy Records and Raymond-Braun Media Group, posted a picture on Instagram of his father Ervin sleeping in a sleeping bag on the streets of New York on a very cold night. No, Braun’s father is not homeless nor has his son allowed him to go penniless. The older Braun slept on the street in order to raise awareness of the plight of homeless people.
Along with the pic Scooter Braun wrote:

“Last night my pops slept in the streets of nyc to support homeless youth in need and bring attention to this major issue. Proud of him and grateful for the life he gave us. Support these kids and let’s give them a better opportunity at a better future. My father was a refugee as a kid and got helped along the way…these kids deserve the same.”
Ervin Braun and his wife Susan are Hungarian Holocaust survivors who came to America in the 1950s.
