A private institution for Middle Eastern immigrants in Vienna, known as the Saudi School, is under investigation for teaching anti-Semitism and promoting conspiracy theories, RT reports, citing local media which procured some of the school’s learning materials.
Austria’s News magazine reviewed the Saudi School’s textbooks in the history syllabus, and reported that it contained “a smorgasbord of conspiracy theories and incitement against Jews, Israelis and divergent trends in Islam.”

In an article describing “Jew-hate in school, ” the magazine offered summaries of the sentiments in one such textbook, based on a translation from Arabic. The report presents notions such as: “The Freemasons were a secret, subversive Jewish organization, which aimed to secure Jewish control of the world.”
The school is now required to provide authorities a certified German translation of all its teaching resources.
The Saudi government officially runs the Saudi School, which is not regarded as a religious institution, but rather an educational one, subject to Austrian government guidelines, set by the Education Ministry.
Anti-Semitism and incitement are illegal in Austria.
If the investigation’s findings confirm the allegations of the magazine, the Saudi School would be shut down.
The Islamic Austrian International School in Vienna has also been subject to recent investigation following reports that some parents refused to let their children attend music lessons.
