An Israeli anti-terrorism unit shot and killed the Arab gunman who shot and critically wounded Rabbi Yehuda Glick, an activist who promoted Jewish worship on Temple Mount.
The killer was caught in his home in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Tor, following intelligence provided by the Shabac, Israel’s internal secret service agency.
The Israeli force surrounded the house and called on the terrorist, Muataz Hijazi, to come out. He opened fire in response and in the exchange of gunfire he was killed. There were no Israeli casualties.
