Jeff Rubinov’s Studio 8 has been doing some first-rate hiring of the best in the business. New hires include former Warner Bros. exec Robert Brassel and Mythology Entertainment’s Jon Silk.

Studio 8 agreed in a distribution deal with Sony to produce 6 films a year. This might not prove to be too difficult with the star-studded, hits-laden resumes of the new blood on board of Studio 8. To fund projects, Rubinov expects to raise $1 billion, with a major contributor in China’s Fosun Group.
