Ph.D.Dr. G. Barcelos: The Flight of the Boomerang, just published in the prestigious magazine Scientific Research Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics

Online PR News – 19-June-2014 – Dr. Barcelos paper propose a new interpretation of the dynamic behavior of the boomerang and, in general, of the rigid bodies exposed to simultaneous non-coaxial rotations. He have developed a new rotational non-inertial dynamics hypothesis, which can be applied to understand both the flight of the boomerang as well as celestial mechanics. The boomerang is a particularly significant, intriguing and widely known case of bodies in rotation. He have analyzed the velocity and acceleration fields generated when rigid bodies are exposed to successive torques, in order to assess new criteria for this speed coupling. In this context, reactions and inertial fields that cannot be justified by means of classical mechanics take place. Accordingly, he propose a new Theory of Dynamic Interactions.

After carrying out ample research, he have come to the conclusion that there still exists an unstructured scientific area in non-inertial dynamics systems subject to rotational accelerations. The aim of the paper is to present information of the surprising results obtained and to attract interest in research into dynamic field systems accelerated by rotation, and the multiple and remarkable scientific applications arising thereof.

Over the last twenty years, Dr. Gabriel Barcelo Rico-Avellos scientific research team has been working on an independent and self-funded project on Rotational Dynamics. The outcome of this project, detailed in the paper, is an innovative Dynamic Theory, especially applicable in the case of rigid bodies exposed to simultaneous noncoaxial rotations. This development will lead to noteworthy and significant scientific and technological applications.

The specialized science publication, Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics, belonging to Scientific Research Group, has published in its vol, 2 No.7 2014 this noteworthy paper: Theory of Dynamic Interactions: The Flight of the Boomerang, authored by Dr. Gabriel Barcel Rico-Avello and available at Scientific Research: DOI: 10.4236/jamp.2014.27063, The paper includes a direct access to the audiovisual presentation at

The Theory of Dynamic Interactions establishes a number of innovative hypotheses, for instance, the analysis of internal tensions in mobile bodies or the study of conversion of rotational kinetic energy to translational kinetic energy and vice versa, leading us to the concept of dynamic lever.
A dynamic lever has diverse technological applications and practical uses. This dynamic level allow the design of mechanisms for which the result of its action would be obtained without consumption of energy, therefore with the possibility of getting back the energy already used. The theory is applicable on management and piloting mobile bodies in space, like aircraft and submarines. In these cases, the piloting systems can be very simple in terms of design and control. Technological development of this theory will bring plenty of applications in Defense, Energy, Aircraft control, .

Full documentation about this theory is available at COIIM Foro Cientfico. Special attention should be paid to the presentations given at the 61ST International Astronautical Congress. Prague, September 2010 (On the equivalence principle) and International Conference on Design and Modeling in Science, Education, and Technology: DEMSET 2011. Orlando, Florida, USA.
