Former Friends star Lisa Kudrow is set to make a second comeback in the new version of The Comeback. Her Emmy-nominated performance on HBO a decade ago featured a sit-com star who wanted to stage a comeback through a reality TV program. While her performance was charmingly awkward in the signature Kudrow style, the show was canceled after the first season, because HBO considered it a “limited comedy series.” It looks like The Comeback is getting another try, with co-stars of the first version, Malin Akerman and Kellen Lutz, appearing again.
Lisa Kudrow is a Yiddishe mama who discussed with Conan O’Brien her son’s “drive-thru bar mitzvah” with Chabad at a shopping mall. Conan asked why he wasn’t invited, well, one can’t be invited to an impromptu simcha.
