In between his exploration of photography, dance and starting a production company with his brother Ariel, Nev’s memoir tells of stealing, drug dealing and various forms of bad behavior. No judgement is intended; it is quite clear he turned himself around and now has the desire to reveal all about his troubled teenage years.
“My real problem was stealing, ” confesses Nev. He stole DVDs from Tower records, booze from restaurants and clothing from Ralph Lauren. He even did some drug dealing and even took a dump in his school cafeteria’s cereal dispenser. Nev even totaled a few cars and admits it is a “wonder he is still alive.”
Perhaps his own dissolute youth is partial inspiration for his desire to help young people. He is a founding member of the Young Leadership Committee for the youth organization “Leave Out Violence.”
