Developer Aby Rosen has taken the unusual step of using Instagram to reveal a picture of what the apartments might look like in his new luxury condominium building currently under construction at 610 Lexington Avenue in midtown Manhattan.
The picture is of a one bedroom apartment from the vantage point of the bedroom looking across the living room towards a set of large wall to wall windows that allow for plenty of daylight to illuminate it. A sculpture of what looks like a large balloon dog that a clown might make sits in the living room. The bedroom has a movable folding wall so that it can be left open, giving the apartment the feel of a very large studio.

The 63 story, 91 unit building was designed by Norman Foster and is located between 52nd and 53rd Streets. It will reach 711 feet in height and have a total of 273, 598 square feet. The tower is expected to be opened to residents sometime in 2017. Sales for units there will be offered starting next year.
It will feature 23, 267 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, a restaurant on the second floor, office space on the third floor and even a swimming pool on the ninth floor.
The developers have owned the property since 2007, but have had trouble getting started with a new development there. The original plan for a mixed hotel/condo building was dropped after a foreclosure in 2011. Rosen and his partner Michael Fuchs’ RFR Group recently brought in a Chinese partner, the highly experienced development company China Vanke led by Yu Liang, to help complete the project.
