Platkin, a professor at Hunter College in New York City, who’s been using the “Diet Detective” name for his books, columns and website for years, claimed he had been “grievously injured” when Goop ran its own “Diet Detective” column last July.
Platkin’s attorney sent Goop a cease and desist letter, but the site didn’t cease nor desist, which led the professor to file suit in Manhattan federal court last month against the website.
Now Platkin’s lawyer told the Daily News, “The matter has been resolved.”
