Hurt Locker Producer Nicolas Chartier Buys Ashton Kutcher’s Home for $9.925

Ashton Kutcher's Home

The identity of the man who bought Ashton Kutcher’s Los Angeles Bachelor pad for $9.925 million in June has finally been revealed by Variety. It was none other than Oscar winning Hollywood producer Nicolas Chartier who was behind such hits as The Hurt Locker and Dallas Buyers Club.

There won’t be that much of a profit for the super rich movie and television star Kutcher, who also has money coming in from successful investments, who bought the house only two years ago for $8.455 million after he divorced his first wife Demi Moore. He had originally listed it for as much as $12 million back in March. There is no word as to why he would settle so quickly for so much less money.

Kutcher sold the home since he and his fiancé, world’s hottest woman actress Mila Kunis, have decided to move into a different home together after their wedding. Kunis was born in Ukraine to Jewish parents who made it to America before the end of the Soviet Union when she was still a little girl. Maybe she was the one who pressed him to dump his bachelor pad so quickly as a symbolic type of burning one’s bridges.

Located in the Hollywood Hills on half an acre of land, it is a modern home with 10, 000 square feet and views in all directions. It has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a gym, sauna, wine cellar, elevator and a cozy fireplace in the living room. There is also, of course, a swimming pool that comes to a sharp end at the hillside.

Kutcher is not Jewish but he began to follow the Jewish mystical practice known as Kabala when he married to Demi Moore who was a dedicated member of the Los Angeles Kabala Center.

Kunis just put her Los Angeles home up for sale for $3.995 million. She and Kutcher will be moving into a 7, 351 square foot mansion in Beverly Hills which cost them $10.25 million. The home has a kidney shaped swimming pool, three bedrooms and four bathrooms.

It may be smaller than the house that Kutcher has given up, but it is said to be more appropriate for a family seeking privacy.

The couple only just revealed that they expect their child to be born within a month’s time.
