The co-producer of Ben Affleck’s 2012 best picture Argo first bought the house in 2006 for $3.125 million. He has tried to sell it before for as much as $3.45 million in 2008. The price was then cut to $3.195 million a year later but when no one bit at that price it was taken off the market.
The house is situated on a half acre of land and has 5, 628 square feet. It is clapboard sided and surrounded by a picket fence. There are five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms.
A red brick and stoned path leads up to four red bricked steps at the house’s main entrance.
The two floor residence has a formal living room and formal dining room on the wooden floored first floor. There is also a fireplace, an open kitchen, a family room with a vaulted ceiling, another fireplace and a back door which leads out to the backyard which features a tree shaded terrace and a swimming pool surrounded by flat stone covered ground and hedges.
French doors on the back of the ground floor open to a red bricked patio from which a stone path leads through the back lawn.
This property is clearly not creating the same kind of buzz surrounding the recent sale of the Sapperstein estate for $105 million or the $150 million being asked for the newly relisted estate of the late television producer Aaron Spelling.
Grant Heslov, 51, is has partnered with George Clooney in the movie production company Smokehouse Pictures since 2006 and has produced 15 movies and television shows, including Intolerable Cruelty and The Ides of March, both of which starred Clooney. He has also appeared in front of the camera in 67 different movies and television shows. He directed George Clooney in the film Men Who Stare at Goats.
