As Randi put it so eloquently on her Dot Complicated website, “Online, anybody can call themselves a journalist, ” and her radio show will be an hour-long call-in program that explores the world of technology and social media, based on Randi’s book “Dot Complicated.”
The show will be called “Dot Complicated with Randi Zuckerberg, ” and broadcast from the Wharton School’s studio in San Francisco.
So far, dot complicated at all.
Does it sound to you, too, like the name is an attempt to pronounce “not complicated, ” while suffering from the sniffles?
Zuckerberg will give advice to listeners who are overwhelmed by the demands of modern technology, or exhausted with the world of social media.
Cleaning up after you know who?
Her goal is to help her audience use new tech efficiently, and alleviate the stress social media can sometimes cause.
Hopefully, she’ll tell them to shut down their computer, leave their smartphones at home and take a walk in the park.
Naaah…
Her press release states that Dot Complicated will “delve into the latest high tech innovations for kids, parents and even pets.”
Woof.
The show will follow the typical call-in format, with weekly guests from the tech world answering listener questions. Randi will share the SiriusXM airwaves with former Facebook alumni Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.
They should call it Tech Support and help me figure out why my Brother printer isn’t scanning.
I’d catch that show, for sure.
