Hillary took an advance of $14 million for Hard Choices, which will never sell even close to that figure.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will make her third appearance in person on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to discuss her latest book, Hard Choices, Tuesday, July 15. Secretary Clinton’s previous appearances took place on October 9, 2003, and March 4, 2008.
Secretary Clinton’s latest book, Hard Choices, is an inside account of the crises, choices, and challenges she faced during her four years as Secretary of State, and how those experiences drive her view of the future. It’s not doing so well. Its Amazon Best Sellers Rank is 158, which makes it doubtful publisher Simon & Schuster will recoup the advance they forked over – $14 million.
That stunning advance has to come out of book sales. Hard Choices would have to sell more than two million copies. Hillary’s Living History, which was considered a success, only sold 1.1 million copies.
She only took an $8 million advance for that one.
It’s doubtful Jon Stewart will make much on his show of these inconvenient figures. Though tough on some members of the media, especially over at Fox News, Stewart is kind of a timid pussy when it comes to serious players.
You can make it a drinking game – a shot each time Stewart says something remotely critical of Hillary. Could be a dry, dry night.
