Economic Horoscope For July – Fasten Your Seatbelts And Hold On Tight

The month of July will adversely affect everybody’s financial assets; and we may also expect a number of companies, banks and major world institutions to succumb to their difficulties during this period.

Mercury also ends its official retrograde on July 1st, but there still remains the hangover effect of the disruptions, delays and general glitches that took place while it was in retreat.

Saturn in Scorpio gives special expression during July. Saturn is responsible for the stability of financial structures, the economy systems of countries, and already in June an there is an aspect of the crisis with Uranus – which will last until at least mid-August.

So events like the collapse of the economic stability of countries stand out more. As well the operating methods of large financial companies and banks will have to adjust because of the recognition of the crisis.

By July 21st  – Saturn’s impact may lead to negative gross domestic product (GDP) for at least one quarter. This retrogression may prove to be a hard lesson, and contradict received wisdom and represent our human limitations and the boundaries of fantasy and economic bubbles. Financial companies have been living on a wish rather than true economic reality or potential. All of this will start to give expression with the commencement of Jupiter in Leo and continue to mid-August.

From July 1st to July 5th – the Sun’s aspect with Cancer is in crisis with Pluto which is enveloping. This indicates the relative status of crisis and the dangers of outbreaks of wars and unstable situations in some regions of the world, or continuation of raging wars already started. It also raise heavy concerns and uncertainties about the future This aspect also affects the economy.

The aspect of a T square produces jolts of violent shocks. These can include natural phenomena, such as a major earthquake creating overwhelming tectonic movements. During this period institutional paradigms will change, the structures of states and associated geopolitical changes may have patterns, or consequences that will affect banks or other financial institutions. This process will continue until mid-August.

From July 5th to July 7th – Venus in Gemini is in harmonious aspect with Uranus, bringing the opportunity for success. Financial interactions develop surprisingly, and momentum shifts may be delivered seemingly spontaneously. This is a good aspect for trade and other business and even personal projects.

From July 9th to July 13th – Mars in Libra is in a harmonious aspect to Venus in Gemini – an aspect that affects the harmony of media. A good time to begin to communicate over issues of principle, or to try to create positive communication in conflicts and war. During this period financial markets favour segments such as aesthetics, fashion, technology and media; social networks will be particularly popular.

From July 14th to July 19th – Mercury passes beyond Cancer and will be in a positive aspect with Neptune. You should rely on your own intuition in cases where common sense does not give answers. Interest in the oil and gas and chemicals industries may be characteristic of these days.

On July 17th  – Jupiter moves into Leo, and some leaders may wants to oversize with ever larger operations. Such megalomania can lose a lot of money – this is a time when there is a tendency to overemphasize success and size. Instead self-control and restraint will help permit businesses to grow in due proportion. Dissonant focus on growth will cost dearly later.

Because Saturn in Scorpio interferes this year with Jupiter in Leo, you should go ahead with measured steps and an even temperament.

Around July 20th – the aspect of Jupiter with the Sun in Leo begins to affect events and those aspects with greatest promise of success and/or of favorable market fluctuations may be particularly positive in their results. However there is the difficult aspect of a parallel planet Venus with Pluto which may cause large falls.

I warn this month not to be caught with such a wonderful feeling of being close to Jupiter and the Sun and Venus, Pluto and then Uranus with Venus promising a big crisis. It will be a month with major tests of the stability of financial institutions. It will take an extreme crisis to reveal the whole truth and transparency in our institutions.

With the planets Pluto and Uranus coming together in a void, a crisis threatens to break out over labor issues, transportation, unemployment or education This is an aspect where contract, partnership or agreements get broken. Large systems suffer financial crisis and the damage is clear. Everything about the the risk of loan delinquencies and sub-prime defaults may break out all over again.

On July 19th – Venus enters Cancer and it creates a financial crisis.

On July 22nd – as a bonus, the crisis you may be facing intensifies and by July 26th Pluto will create a square with Uranus in a hard aspect which could hurt financial markets and cause major losses.

On July 23rd – the Sun enters Leo and makes a conduction with Jupiter in Leo. We will all want to look glamorous and the larger question is whether Venus and her bad aspect with Pluto coming together, then also with Uranus in Aries, will allow us to stay focused on fashion and good taste or whether instead we witness a large collapse of the markets.

A previous entry of Jupiter in to Leo, which occurred in July 2002 coincided then with the collapse of the largest telecom company in the world, WorldCom. This defined one of the biggest bankruptcies in U.S. history.

It is not until August is just waiting at the door, when it is going to develop into a large square aspect between the stars: i.e. the Sun and Mercury in Leo in a Square with Saturn in Scorpio. We will talk more about that next time.
