If you have always wanted a lightweight easy to use wearable camera that can be fully integrated with your with your smart phone, here it is.

Designed for use with smartphones, the CA7CH Lightbox is a camera, phone and cloud all in one that offers people a new way to take snapshots, stream short videos and share their life events with friends.

Live and hands-free, Lightbox is the world’s smallest live-streaming wearable camera at only 1.5 inches on each side with a sleek and shiny top-quality aluminum body.

The Camera has ‘pro’ HD features, is waterproof and operates instantaneously. It also has a sapphire lens protector, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 35 decibel microphone and an external battery pack. There is also a patented magnetic clip which allows one to attach it anywhere, holding the camera firmly in place even on a jacket or baseball cap. It comes in black or white.

According to its founders, the company began as the result of a simple conversation about building a camera fit for our times which in turn sparked a curiosity among three friends to re-imagine how we capture and share our daily experiences.

Frustrated with the lack of true socially-integrated cameras on the market and struggling with numerous products, apps, and services that did not work together, they initiated a “what-if” experiment: What if they were to invent such a camera now, for the first time? The result was that these friends created CA7CH in 2013 to make the experience of “catching” and sharing life’s moments easy, spontaneous and fun.

Their initial funding was raised from the founders’ friends and family. With that they brought together miniature hardware, optics, mobile software and cloud technology to create camera. Initial prototypes were completed in late November of 2013. CA7CH is currently holding a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter and reached its goal of $80, 000 in seed money within 26 hours and has already topped $150, 000 in investments.

If you pledge $119 then you will receive a free Lightbox. A pledge of $5, 000 or more gets you 5 cameras and free unlimited lifetime cloud storage and an invitation to the company’s launch party scheduled for the end of the year in New York, including airfare for one and two nights in a hotel.

The owners state that they believe that wearable connected cameras will change how people use social media to communicate. The viewer experience is enhanced through hands-free operation while providing instant sharing of your life as it happens. They want to let people capture and share fun moments in their lives from unexpected perspectives.

The company recently completed building its first set of Lightboxes in the U.S. It plans on using the money from Kickstarter to go into full production. The CA7CH app is currently iOS-compatible and they are continuing to add new features to it. The Android version will be ready for release in under 60 days.

They are currently negotiating with manufacturing partners and their anticipated inventory shelf date for the U.S. is October, at which time they plan to begin shipping cameras to their backers.

CA7CH was founded by the three friends who came up with the idea: it’s CEO Rom Eizenberg, a former musician who has spent last decade building innovative businesses; Robert Kowalik, the COO, who has over 22 years of experience in leading global operations in emerging technology startups and Leif Chastaine, the vice president of products who has over 18 years of successful start-up experience and has conquered challenges in wireless, B2B and social markets.
