Winning an Oscar for best actress for the movie Shakespeare In Love, and being world famous, might be enough for some women. But apparently not for Gwyneth Paltrow who is also a newly minted Entrepreneur.
The actress recently started her own website, Goop, and is now getting into the blow-dry bar business.
Founded by Paltrow in the fall of 2008 to “share all of life’s positives”, Goop.com offers a variety of style and life advice, from creating a delicious recipe to finding a perfect dress for spring. Paltrow said that her purpose in Goop is to curate the best of lifestyle to help her readers save time, simplify and feel inspired.
Now, together with her longtime stylist David Babaii, Gwyneth Paltrow is partnering with Blo Blow Dry Bar.

Blow dry bars are places where people, specifically women, get a shampoo and have their hair treated with a blow dryer and nothing else. They are not hair salons and do not offer fancy haircuts or hair dyes. People just site and schmooze with the hair dresser over a cup of coffee or juice as they get a blow dry.
Blo Blow Dry Bar offers a menu of seven styles that can be had with a blow dry, as well as head massages and its ”Blo Bro” styling for men. It claims to be the first blow dry bar chain in North America, with forty branches in the US, Canada, Europe and Asia.
Its CEO, Ari Yakobson, said of Paltrow, “She has ideas on everything, from the look and the feel of the bars to the website and hairstyles we will offer.” He added, “I cannot wait to grow Blo with Gwyneth and David. They are the perfect fit for our company.”
Paltrow will contribute to the company’s creative direction.
