Elbit Systems Awarded $133 Million Contract to Supply Integrated Systems for Homeland Security Applications

Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE:ESLT) was awarded a contract to supply systems in an amount of $133 million for Homeland Security (HLS) applications to a customer in the Latin American region.

The systems are based on highly advanced and unique technologies, including command, control and intelligence capabilities to be operated via dedicated control centers intended to play a major role in fighting crime, preventing violence and improving citizens’ safety and security. The contract will be performed over a one-year period.

Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems commented: “This award is another significant milestone for Elbit Systems in the HLS field, in which we are witnessing a growing demand worldwide”. 

Machlis added: “Our technological edge and vast operational experience in command and control missions for defense applications position us as market leaders for HLS projects.”
