3 Israeli Security Companies Votiro, Covertix & Seculert Win Global Excellence Awards In San Francisco

The RSA Conference is the world’s leading information security event held every year in San Francisco,  California for companies in the security industry to show their wares and talk to their customers and each other.The Global Excellence Awards take place parallel to the conference; these recognize security and IT companies who have developed the most advanced, path-finding new product introductions and software solutions for the industry. The competition behind the awards then helps to continue to raise the level higher for others in all areas of the security business.Israeli company Votiro, which provides a Secure Data Sanitization solution for protecting organizations against zero-day and other ongoing cyber-threats, announced today that it has just won won the Gold Award in the “Innovations in Next Generation Security” category of the Global Excellence Awards for 2014.

Whilst the precise details of how Votiro’s products work remain proprietary their solution claims to eliminate cyber-threats before they have the opportunity to penetrate an organization. After initially scanning all incoming files with a series of commercially available anti-virus programs Votiro then perform an active patent-pending process to each file’s structure and metadata. This process is said to detect and eliminate all kinds of exploit, whether known, unknown or zero-day.

–Meanwhile another Israeli company Covertix also announced it has received the silver award in the “Database Security, Data Leakage Protection and Extrusion Prevention” category at the same Global Excellence Awards ceremony. Covertix is a leading company in transparent file security and compliance, Covertix took another prize as well, as their SmartCipher solution was also recognized with the bronze award in the “Awesome Product of the Year” category.Covertix provides seamless control and transparent protection of sensitive data found in any type of file,  inside or outside of an organization and on any type of device.
