easyJet plc (LSE: EZJ) has launched a Hebrew-language homepage, its 23rd country, after launching Chinese, US, Russian, and Brazilian homepages. The Hebrew content includes information about flying with easyJet and allows customers to book flights in any of the ten currencies available.
easyJet added that, in February, it flew its one millionth passenger on its Israel route since it started operations in 2009. It launched a Tel Aviv-Berlin route earlier this month, and will launch a Tel Aviv-Gatwick route in April, which will increase weekly departures from Tel Aviv to seven European cities to 34. It currently flies between Tel Aviv and London Luton, Manchester, Basel, Geneva, Rome, Milan, and Berlin.
“With more than half a million passengers flying with easyJet into and out of Israel this year, this new homepage means that it will be easier than ever for passengers travelling to and from Israel to take advantage of our famous low fares and friendly service, ” said easyJet UK commercial manager Hugh Aitken. “We look forward to continuing our expansion in the region.”

The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) has approved 89 weekly flights, double the number of flights last summer, from Terminal 1 starting this summer. Operation costs at Terminal 1, which was the main terminal until 10 years ago, are lower than at the main Terminal 3. Terminal 1 operates under certain limitations. The Terminal is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm and there are no takeoffs before 9 am and after 11 pm. Furthermore, wide-bodied jet cannot use Terminal 1.
